BlueBoost spec
Status: all sections in (2026-10-24). The Definition of done arrived on 2026-10-21 as two screenshots, transcribed below. Out of scope and Decisions were copied on 2026-10-24 from the reference page, https://blueboost.pages.dev/ (section headed "SYS-2026-032 · Requirements & definition of done · 12 Oct 2026"; its footer names its source as "REQUIREMENTS.md in blueforest-studios/blueboost"). That closed pending input #1 in revisions.md.
The requirements themselves come from the eight screenshots in Screenshots for Ingestation/, all read 2026-10-21. The reference page agrees with them on all 35 requirements and on which 22 are Must (checked 2026-10-24, status check):
- Six from 11.06 AM. They show 35 requirements, 22 of them Must, in 7 groups:
- Sites (1.1–1.3)
- SEO: Track (2.1–2.6)
- SEO: Boost (3.1–3.4)
- AEO: Track (4.1–4.6)
- AEO: Boost (5.1–5.7)
- Reporting & data (6.1–6.4)
- Operating constraints (7.1–7.5)
- Two from 6.21 PM: the Definition of done, and a sample of what done could look like.
Definition of done
Transcribed word for word from Screenshot 2026-10-21 at 6.21.13 PM.png. Every item was marked STANDBY on the page. The page doesn't number the items; the numbers here are for reference.

Out of scope
Copied word for word from https://blueboost.pages.dev/, section "Out of scope for v1", read 2026-10-24:
Not part of BlueBoost v1. Paid search ads (promoting our own YouTube videos, 5.6, is the one exception), rewriting site content at scale, rebuilding any website, and buying links. If one of these turns out to be the real fix, flag it as a follow-up project rather than widening v1.
Decisions
Copied word for word from https://blueboost.pages.dev/, section "Decisions from Ammon", read 2026-10-24. The page marks the section "Decided 12–13 Oct 2026" and says: "All answered. Next up is Onyx's architecture and build-vs-buy plan, including a scope for YouTube and Reddit."
| Decision | State on the page | Text |
|---|---|---|
| Budget: $250 a month | Decided | The ceiling for subscriptions and API costs combined. Build first where it's feasible and saves money. |
| v1 site: ours only | Decided | blueforeststudios.com. Other sites come later, through the registry. |
| Competitors: 10 studios | Decided | The list above, from the competitor report. |
| Client reporting: V2 | Decided | Not in v1. Revisit once our own site's loop is proven. |
| YouTube + Reddit for AEO | Onyx to scope | Long-form YouTube videos with a small, separate ad budget, plus Reddit posting. Onyx proposes the ad amount and how we'll measure it. |
The Decisions hold no metric definitions, so pending input #6 (metric definitions) stays open.
Checked against what's built (2026-10-24)
Agreeing: the $250 cap is 7.3's cap (db/config/fixed-costs.json); "ours only" is 1.1's one row; the 10 competitors are 4.4's set (db/seed/brands.sql); client reporting (6.4) isn't built; YouTube ad spend is kept as a separate cost line (7.3); no paid search ads or bought links are built or proposed.
Conflicts, reported for you to rule on, not resolved here:
- The YouTube and Reddit scope hasn't been written. The page says the next deliverable includes "a scope for YouTube and Reddit", and Definition of done item 1 asks for the architecture and build-vs-buy plan to be approved. Your ruling "Musts only" (2026-10-23) has kept it out of the build, and
docs/build-vs-buy.mddoesn't cover it. Since you replaced Onyx, the proposal of an ad amount and how to measure it falls to Claude under your direction (pending input #2), and the decision itself is yours. - 3.2 waits on a move the spec puts out of scope. 3.2's Organization and LocalBusiness code waits on the move off Squarespace (status check, 3.2 row). Out of scope lists "rebuilding any website". If the move is BlueBoost's work, it's outside v1; if it's a separate company project, a v1 Must (3.2) is waiting on something outside v1.
- The page still names Onyx as owner ("Handed to Onyx", "Owner · Onyx"). Your words "I have replaced onyx" supersede that (CLAUDE.md section 2).
What done could look like
From Screenshot 2026-10-21 at 6.21.15 PM.png. The page says: "Illustrative only. Sample numbers, not real data. Onyx owns the actual design of the BlueBoost tab in the Blair Console." It shows three panels for blueforeststudios.com:
- AI share of voice, this week: ChatGPT 34%, Claude 28%, Perplexity 41%, Gemini 19%, AI Overviews 22%.
- Organic clicks, 12 weeks: +38%, drawn as a line against a dashed baseline.
- Top actions this week ("Fix this next"):
- Add VideoObject schema to 6 work pages
- Get listed on the directory Perplexity cites most
- Answer "how much does a brand film cost" on the pricing page
- Allow ClaudeBot in robots.txt
If the reference page changes
- Copy the changed section here word for word, with the date read.
- Check it against the screenshots: 35 requirements, 22 of them Must, and the 11 Definition of done items. If the counts don't match, one copy is out of date, so ask which one.
- Check it against what's built, and report any conflict rather than picking a side.
- Revise the SOP following revisions.md.
