BlueBoost
A weekly tracker for blueforeststudios.com. It records how the site shows up in Google search (SEO) and in AI assistants' answers (AEO), stores the results in Blair, reports them on a dashboard and in a weekly email, and ranks what to fix next.
Start here
- What's done and what's left: open the dashboard (below). Its first tab, Progress, lists every remaining step in order, with links to the guides.
- What it must do: docs/spec.md, with 22 Must requirements in sections 1–7.
- How work is done here: CLAUDE.md.
- Latest full status: docs/handoffs/STATUS_2026-10-24.md.
Run it
Needs Node.js 22 or newer. No database is needed for these: a practice copy runs in memory.
cd db
npm install # first time only
npm test # the full test suite
npm run audit # crawl the site at one request a second; writes out/audit-*.json
npm run dashboard -- --practice # builds out/dashboard.html from that audit
Open out/dashboard.html from the project folder in a browser. Ticks on the Progress tab are saved in that browser only, until Blair is connected.
Where things are
| Path | What |
|---|---|
db/*.mjs | All code: one module per collector, plus the dashboard and digest |
db/migrations/ | Database tables, in order |
db/config/ | Settings: models, budgets, keywords, the Progress checklist (completion.json), dashboard colors (dashboard-theme.json) |
db/tests/ | Tests; outputs in db/tests/output/ |
docs/how-to-*.md | Step-by-step guides for each sign-up and setup |
docs/plans/ | One plan per requirement, with its decisions |
out/ | Built files (not committed) |
Keys and passwords never go in the repo: they live in .env, which git ignores (requirement 7.4).
